Grab is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Indonesia to build and maintain complex backend systems powering insurance journeys across Grab apps. You will own critical modules, write clean code, and work with cross-functional teams to ship features responsibly.

The role requires ownership, a hunger for learning, and the ability to work autonomously while improving system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to work autonomously and own features from development to delivery.
• Experience with cloud platforms and scalable backend services.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, scalable backend applications for insurance products.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical directions.
• Respond to on-call rotations to ensure service reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues quickly.
• Uphold SOLID principles and clean architecture in projects.
