About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join our External Audit team. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta. In this role, you will take on a leadership position within our audit practice, overseeing complex audit engagements and guiding junior team members. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality external audit services to our clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations, whilst managing client relationships and contributing to the strategic growth of our audit practice.

Key responsibilities

Plan, execute and oversee external audit engagements for clients of varying complexity and size

Conduct detailed audit procedures including testing of transactions, account balances and internal controls

Prepare audit working papers and ensure comprehensive documentation of audit work performed

Identify and evaluate audit risks, developing appropriate audit strategies and procedures

Review and assess the effectiveness of clients' internal control systems and recommend improvements

Mentor, supervise and provide guidance to junior audit staff, supporting their professional development

Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner

Prepare audit reports and management letters detailing significant findings and observations

Maintain ongoing client relationships and serve as a key point of contact for audit-related matters

Ensure compliance with auditing standards, ethical requirements and professional regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in external audit within a reputable audit firm or organisation

Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards (SAK) and auditing standards (SPAP)

Proven experience in conducting audit procedures across various industries and client sizes

Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk assessment and audit sampling methodologies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple audit engagements concurrently and meet tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

Leadership qualities and experience in managing and mentoring junior audit staff

High level of professionalism and integrity with a commitment to ethical practice

Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
