Job summary

PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) is hiring a Senior Android Developer to build and maintain Android banking apps. You will translate UI/UX designs into robust apps, integrate with RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Android experience, strong Kotlin/Java skills, and familiarity with Coroutines, Retrofit, Room, Firebase, and Gradle. Banking security and best practices are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Android app development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience with RESTful API integration.
• Experience with JSON parsing.
• Familiarity with Coroutines, Retrofit, Room, Firebase, Gradle.
• Experience using Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Knowledge of Android UI/UX guidelines and Material Design.
• Understanding of mobile application security, encryption, authentication, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with banking or financial services applications is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Android mobile applications for digital banking services.
• Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Android applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analyst, UI/UX Designer, Backend Developer, QA Engineer, and DevOps throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance optimization.
• Ensure application security, reliability, and compliance with banking security standards.
• Fix defects and provide production support for application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.
• Prepare technical documentation in accordance with SDLC and project governance requirements.
• Support deployment, release management, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Stay updated with Android technologies and recommend improvements to architecture.
