Job summary

DAMAC Digital is seeking a senior Security Lead to own the physical security of a mission‑critical data centre in Jakarta. You will direct day‑to‑day operations, oversee CCTV/ACS and incident response, and lead internal or outsourced security teams to ensure continuous protection of personnel, customers, and critical assets.

You will collaborate with government authorities, tenants, and vendors, ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 27001), and drive security governance across the facility, budget

Overview

In a multi-tenant colocation data centre, physical security goes far beyond guarding a perimeter. It encompasses access governance, surveillance systems, visitor management, incident response, investigations, and the leadership of security teams, all within a highly regulated, customer-facing, and mission-critical environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and execute the site's physical security strategy, ensuring the protection of personnel, customers, critical infrastructure, and operational assets.
• Oversee day-to-day security operations, maintaining a highly secure and compliant environment across the facility.
• Manage and optimise CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), visitor management platforms, and intrusion detection systems, including testing, maintenance, monitoring, evidence retention, and alarm escalation protocols.
• Lead internal and/or outsourced security teams, including workforce planning, deployment, scheduling, training, performance management, and operational readiness.
• Govern customer and contractor access processes, including background screening, escorting requirements, key management, cabinet and cage access, after-hours entry, and restricted-area authorisations.
• Lead incident response, investigations, and security-related escalations while ensuring timely communication and resolution.
• Coordinate effectively with government authorities, emergency services, landlords, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders during incidents, audits, and critical events.
• Manage security budgets, vendor relationships, maintenance programmes, service contracts, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 27001 requirements, customer security expectations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain 24x7 operational accountability for security performance, business continuity, emergency preparedness, and crisis management activities.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience leading physical security operations within a critical environment, ideally within data centres.
• Hands‑on Security experience in mission‑critical or high‑security environments
• Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, visitor management, intrusion detection systems, and physical security best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing security teams, vendors, contractors, and third‑party service providers.
• Strong incident management, investigation, emergency response, and crisis management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across customers, authorities, contractors, and senior leadership.
• A proactive, security‑first mindset combined with a professional, customer‑focused approach.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management, and security governance frameworks.
• Security certifications are highly regarded, including Gada Pratama, Gada Madya, or equivalent professional security qualifications.
