Hexxa Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a Science Teacher to deliver Chemistry and Physics under international curricula (Cambridge/IGCSE/IB). The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Science Education and has 1–2 years of related teaching experience.
Proficiency in English is required. You will develop lesson plans, materials, experiments, and assessments aligned with international standards, adapt teaching to diverse learners, and collaborate with the
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry and/or Physics.
Proven experience teaching International Curriculum, such as Cambridge, IGCSE, IB, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Chemistry and Physics concepts according to the relevant grade level.
Able to teach students at Secondary and/or High School level.
Good English proficiency, both written and verbal.
Able to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear, structured, and engaging manner.
Familiar with preparing lesson plans, learning materials, assignments, and assessments based on international standards.
Able to adapt teaching methods to different students’ abilities and learning styles.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and classroom management skills.
Passionate about teaching, patient, communicative, responsible, and student-oriented.
Able to work independently and collaborate with the academic team.
Teach Chemistry and/or Physics based on the International Curriculum.
Prepare engaging lessons, learning materials, experiments, exercises, and assessments.
Guide students in understanding scientific concepts and applying them to real-world situations.
Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress.
Provide constructive feedback and additional support based on students’ needs.
Prepare students for international curriculum examinations, where applicable.
Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
Coordinate with the academic team and parents regarding students’ learning progress.
