Job summary

VentureSEA is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead to drive a large-scale SAP implementation. You will coordinate legacy data analysis, mapping, transformation, and migration, aligning with SAP S/4HANA structures and business processes.

You will work with SAP functional consultants and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation, while guiding stakeholders and documenting governance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data models and structures.
• Experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration cycle preferred.

Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead to support a large-scale SAP implementation and data migration initiative.

The ideal candidate is a strong SAP professional with hands-on experience in SAP data migration, particularly within an S/4HANA environment. The candidate should have a solid understanding of SAP business processes and the relationship between data across SAP modules.

This role will be responsible for leading and coordinating SAP data migration activities, including legacy data analysis, data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and migration into the SAP S/4HANA environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP functional consultants, business process owners, IT teams, and data/technical teams to ensure that migrated data is accurate, complete, consistent, and aligned with SAP S/4HANA requirements.

The role requires someone who can work independently, understand SAP business processes deeply, and translate business and functional requirements into practical data migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Data Migration

Lead end-to-end SAP data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.

Analyze legacy SAP and non-SAP data and determine its suitability for migration.

Define and maintain data migration strategies, mapping rules, transformation requirements, and validation processes.

Lead data extraction, transformation, conversion, loading, validation, and reconciliation activities.

Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates, and quality issues and drive resolution with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure migrated data is aligned with SAP S/4HANA data structures and business requirements.

Support migration cycles, mock migrations, data testing, and final migration activities.

SAP Functional & Business Process Understanding

Work closely with SAP functional teams to understand data requirements and dependencies across SAP modules.

Apply knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, PP, SD, and PM to support migration activities.

Understand how business processes affect master data and transactional data.

Identify dependencies between different SAP modules and ensure that data is migrated in the correct sequence.

Support business users in validating migrated data and resolving discrepancies.

SAP S/4HANA

Support data migration activities aligned with SAP S/4HANA data models and structures.

Understand differences between legacy SAP environments and S/4HANA where relevant to data migration.

Participate in data conversion and migration cycles throughout the S/4HANA implementation.

Support data validation during testing, UAT, mock migration, and production migration.

Stakeholder Management

Act as a key point of contact for SAP data migration activities.

Facilitate workshops with SAP functional consultants, business owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders.

Clarify data requirements and resolve data-related discrepancies.

Communicate migration progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to project stakeholders.

Coordinate with technical/data engineering teams where data extraction, transformation, or integration activities are required.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant SAP experience.

Strong hands-on experience in SAP data migration.

Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA.

Experience with at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration cycle is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of SAP business processes and data structures.

Good knowledge of one or more SAP modules, particularly:

Experience with SAP master data and/or transactional data migration.

Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.

Good documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English and Indonesian.

Willing to work on a contract basis.

Willing to work on-site in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Data Engineering / Technical Requirements

The candidate does not need to be a dedicated Data Engineer, but should be familiar with data engineering concepts and processes, including:

Experience working with data engineering or technical teams is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Completed at least one full SAP S/4HANA implementation cycle.

Experience working across multiple SAP modules.

Experience with SAP master data governance or data quality initiatives.

Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK or data governance principles.

Experience working on medium- to large-scale SAP transformation projects.

Experience collaborating with SAP functional consultants, business process owners, developers, and data engineers.
