Job summary

DKSH is seeking a Sales Specialist for Consumables (Lab Instrumentation for Food Safety and Hygiene) in Jakarta Selatan. You will support the Sales Manager, visit customers, prepare forecasts, and manage orders, with opportunities for P&L responsibility in the assigned area.

Responsibilities include planning exhibitions, maintaining data in Salesforce, and collaborating with product and application teams. Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English preferred; willingness to travel within the territory.

Qualifications

2–5 years of B2B sales experience in Food Safety, laboratory consumables, food testing, hygiene solutions, microbiology or related scientific products.
Experience selling to Food & Beverage manufacturers, food processing, QA/QC laboratories, or commercial testing laboratories is highly preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, microbiology, hygiene monitoring, quality control, or laboratory testing applications would be advantageous.
Experience handling consumables and recurring-sales products; strong commercial mindset for new opportunities.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills; target-oriented and proactive.
Able to work independently while collaborating with Product, Application and other teams.
Good communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Willing to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Visit customers with the Sales Manager to build relationships and negotiate sales agreements.
Prepare forecasts, market reports and regular competitor/market surveys.
Provide administrative support to the sales team (e.g., presentations).
Lead own projects (customer events, new products, improvements).
Sales support activities (order taking/submission, shipment tracking).
Optional: Profit and loss responsibility for the assigned area (budget accountability).
Respond to customer and supplier queries in English and the local language.
Calculate and submit offers to customers.
Collect and manage product information.
Dispatch marketing material and product information.
Plan exhibitions and represent DKSH at exhibitions.
Follow up on customer issues.
Communicate with European logistics.
Maintain customer data and record sales data in Salesforce.com.
