Job summary

Tripatra is seeking a Safety Supervisor for area project sites in Indonesia. The role requires leading HSE supervision, conducting inspections, and guiding contractors on safe work practices to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of construction HSE experience, relevant certifications, and strong communication to promote a culture of safety across multiple teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or D4 with 6+ years in construction HSE; or D3 with 8+ years.
• 5+ years as HSE Inspector/Safety Supervisor on oil & gas, petrochemical, civil, mining or power projects.
• Valid HSE certification within last 5 years relevant to industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment and equipment safety inspection.
• Leadership and stakeholder management; promote safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Contractors' HSE Management Plans for compliance.
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety observations.
• Support contractors in developing and maintaining HSE procedures.
• Facilitate HSE induction, training, SWP and toolbox talks.
• Monitor permit-to-work, risk assessments and JSA during activities.
• Investigate HSE incidents using RCA methods and prepare reports.
• Promote a strong safety culture through coaching and awareness.
• Report HSE performance to Lead Safety and support initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Applied Bachelor's Degree (D4) in any discipline with at least 6 years of experience, or Diploma (D3) in any discipline with at least 8 years of experience in construction execution and HSE supervision.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Inspector, Safety Supervisor, or equivalent role on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Civil Construction (High-rise Buildings/Bridges), Public Works (DPU/PUPR), Mining, Geothermal, or Power Generation projects.
• Holds a valid Government-issued or recognized HSE certification obtained within the last 5 years, relevant to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction HSE management, hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work practices, and construction equipment safety inspection.
• Good understanding of applicable HSE regulations, industry codes, standards, and Company HSE procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as AK3 Umum, AK3 Migas, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be an advantage, subject to project requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and monitor the implementation of Contractors' HSE Management Plans to ensure compliance with Company HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety observations to identify hazards, ensure safe work practices, and verify compliance with HSE standards.
• Support and guide Construction Contractors in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE procedures and safe work practices.
• Facilitate HSE induction, mandatory safety training, Safe Work Practices (SWP), toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs for contractor personnel, as required.
• Monitor compliance with permit-to-work requirements, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) during construction activities.
• Investigate HSE incidents and near misses using recognized Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods (e.g., 5 Whys, TapRooT), and prepare timely investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture by providing coaching, guidance, and continuous HSE awareness to project teams and contractors.
• Report HSE performance, incidents, observations, and improvement opportunities to the Lead Safety, and support the implementation of Company HSE initiatives.
