Job summary

PT Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia is seeking a Safety Downstream Assistant Manager to drive SHE excellence across downstream operations in Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra. The role leads the deployment of Unilever's SHE Framework Standards and champions a Zero Harm culture.

You will build SHE capability, run behavioral safety programs, manage contractor safety, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HR, and global stakeholders to strengthen safety performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OH&S, Environmental/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of SHE experience in manufacturing or process industries.
• Experience implementing SHE management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Unilever SHE Framework Standards across downstream operations.
• Ensure compliance through gap assessments, risk evaluations, corrective actions.
• Lead safety culture programs and behavioral safety initiatives.
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs with HR and operations.
• Maintain SHE documentation and reporting via SHENet.
• Lead contractor, process, and environmental safety programs.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with site teams to align with global SHE strategy.
• Benchmark best practices from high-performing sites.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
