Job summary

PT The Paws Production in Bali is seeking a Shopkeeper to lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will be the face of the business, manage transactions, stock, and maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

The role requires retail experience, strong communication, numeracy, and the ability to work with a team. Weekend shifts may be required in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail or customer service environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping customers.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from management.
• Strong numeracy skills and comfort with operating a till and handling cash.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain store standards.
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work according to store hours including potential weekend work.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanour.
• Basic computer literacy is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, and other payment methods.
• Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are well-organised and clearly priced.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including floors, shelves, and customer areas.
• Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to management to ensure adequate supplies.
• Answer customer enquiries about products, pricing, and store policies with professionalism and knowledge.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns diplomatically, working towards satisfactory resolutions.
• Operate the till and manage the cash register, including reconciling daily takings.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Support the team during busy periods and assist colleagues as needed.
