Job summary

Groove is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide expert remote technical support and maintenance for automated industrial systems. This home-based role combines high autonomy with frequent collaboration across client sites when travel is required.

You will diagnose PLCs, HMIs, robotics and SCADA, develop preventive maintenance plans, train client staff virtually, and manage spare parts logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, CS, or related field.
• ≥5 years in field service or maintenance of industrial automation.
• Proven ability to diagnose PLCs, HMIs, robotics and SCADA.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols.
• Ability to read complex schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and work independently.
• Fluent in English; Indonesian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote troubleshooting and diagnostic services for complex industrial automation equipment.
• Conduct virtual training sessions for client technical staff on system operation and maintenance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for remote monitoring.
• Perform remote software updates and configuration adjustments.
• Analyze system performance data to identify potential issues and recommend optimizations.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve escalated technical challenges.
• Document all service activities, findings, and resolutions in the company's CRM system.
• Manage spare parts inventory and logistics for remote deployments.
• On-site support may be required for critical installations or complex repairs, necessitating travel.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
