Job summary

Deel is seeking a Software Engineer to join our remote-first engineering team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and improve backend services, APIs, and integrations, ensuring scalable, secure, and robust software for our global payroll/Hr platform.

You will work in a distributed environment, contribute to product planning, and own features end-to-end, while maintaining high standards of quality and performance for diverse client needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience designing APIs and working with PostgreSQL
• Experience building scalable backend services and handling high transaction volumes

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Frontend, Product, Design, and QA to deliver seamless experiences
• Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment
• Develop and enhance features, APIs, and integrations, and fix bugs quickly
• Provide an exceptional customer-centric engineering experience and maintain quality software
