Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an Indonesian bilingual expert for remote contract work. You will listen to audio, assess nativeness and fluency, provide feedback on pronunciation, intonation, and cultural fit, and document observations for model improvement.

The role requires strong language skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting. 10–40 hrs/week, hourly compensation of $60–$65, with English proficiency at least B2.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Indonesian with regional dialects and cultural nuances.
• Strong written and verbal skills in Indonesian and English (English proficiency at least B2).
• Keen attention to detail with a methodical approach to language evaluation.
• Experience in translation, localization, linguistics, or language quality assessment preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and review audio clips to assess nativeness and fluency of AI-generated Indonesian speech.
• Provide detailed written and verbal feedback on language accuracy, pronunciation, intonation, and authenticity.
• Validate the cultural and contextual appropriateness of language used in audio samples.
• Document observations meticulously, ensuring clarity and actionable insight for model improvement.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to discuss findings and clarify guidelines as needed.
• Support the refinement of evaluation frameworks by sharing linguistically-informed suggestions.
