Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore is seeking a Remote GIS Specialist to analyze spatial data, build maps, and support decision-making from anywhere. You will work with seismic, well, infrastructure, and formation data to visualize operational areas and enable strategic planning in energy projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Geography/GIS/Geosciences and 4+ years of GIS experience, with proficiency in ArcGIS and QGIS, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geosciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a GIS Specialist, preferably in Oil & Gas.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain GIS databases for exploration and production assets.
• Create maps, analyses, and visualizations to support exploration planning and monitoring.
• Integrate spatial datasets including seismic, well data, infrastructure, and environmental information.
• Use GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) for data manipulation, analysis, and map production.
• Collaborate remotely with geologists and engineers to address spatial data needs.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with standards.
