Job summary

Pt Sancome Nusantara Indonesia is seeking a highly competent Fiber Optic Network Specialist to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, implement, and maintain fiber optic network infrastructure to ensure high performance and scalability.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with fiber optic networks, testing, splicing, and termination, and a strong understanding of DWDM, WDM, and PON technologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years hands-on fiber optic design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with OTDR and power meters.
• Strong understanding of optical network principles including WDM, DWDM, and PON technologies.
• Ability to interpret network schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee deployment of fiber optic networks including backbone and access networks.
• Perform fiber optic network testing, splicing, and termination to industry standards.
• Analyze network performance data and troubleshoot optical transmission issues.
• Manage fiber optic inventory, documentation, and network diagrams.
• Develop and implement best practices for fiber optic network maintenance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and new infrastructure projects.
