The ideal candidate has FTTH jointer/splicer experience, strong knowledge of fusion splicing, and proficiency with OTDR testing. Collaboration with field teams and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced fibre installation and fusion splicing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Installing and splicing fibre optic cables per standards and specs.
• Performing fusion splicing with precision to minimize signal loss.
• Testing and QA of fibre connections using OTDR and other tools.
• Preparing routes and conduits for deployment; coordinate civil works.
• On-site maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting at customer premises and junction points.
• Documenting all installation activities and test results.
• Adhering to health, safety and environment regulations at worksites.
• Collaborating with field teams and engineers to ensure timely delivery.
• Contributing to process improvements based on experiences.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SND / Jointer - FTTH to join the Network Engineering team at PT.ZXP Technology Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in Palu, Central Sulawesi. As an SND (Skilled Network Delivery) / Jointer specialising in Fibre to the Home (FTTH) installations, you will play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our fibre optic network infrastructure. This position is essential to ensuring reliable, high-speed connectivity reaches our customers' homes, directly supporting our commitment to advancing digital infrastructure in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Installing and splicing fibre optic cables in accordance with industry standards and company specifications
• Performing fusion splicing operations on optical fibres with precision and accuracy to ensure minimal signal loss
• Conducting rigorous testing and quality assurance checks on all fibre connections using optical time‑domain reflectometry (OTDR) and other diagnostic equipment
• Preparing cable routes and conduits for fibre optic deployment, including civil works coordination where necessary
• Performing on‑site maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of FTTH network connections at customer premises and network junction points
• Maintaining detailed documentation and records of all installation activities, test results and maintenance work completed
• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices at work sites
• Collaborating with field teams, network engineers and customer service departments to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and providing feedback on processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as an FTTH jointer, splicer or similar role in fibre optic network deployment and maintenance
• Advanced technical knowledge of fibre optic cable installation, fusion splicing techniques and fibre optic testing equipment
• Proficiency in using OTDR devices and other optical testing and measurement instruments
• Strong understanding of FTTH network architecture and industry standards and best practices
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills essential for precision splicing work
• Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions, including underground and rooftop installations
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to different sites across the service area
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Relevant certifications in fibre optics or telecommunications (highly desirable)
• Health and safety awareness with commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
