Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer with strong project management skills for fully remote operations. You will oversee lifecycle phases from initiation to closure, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in civil engineering with at least 4 years in PM, PMP desirable, and a proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects from a distance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience with at least 4 years in project management.
• Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for remote team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies remotely.
• Develop detailed project plans including resources, risk management, and QA protocols.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive project status reports and final documentation.
