Job summary

Hyundai Motor Company seeks a Regional IT Security leader to coordinate and strengthen the organization’s information security program across the region. The role focuses on governance, risk, compliance, and stakeholder management with strong technical cybersecurity knowledge.

You will act as a key link between regional subsidiaries, local IT teams, HQ, and external partners to ensure security requirements are implemented and risks addressed. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in IT security with 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Experience coordinating security activities across multinational or APAC.
  • Knowledge of IAM, vulnerability management, monitoring, and IR.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, OWASP.
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SIEM/Splunk, EDR, vulnerability management, firewalls, cloud security.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing, app security, OWASP Top 10, SAST.
  • Experience with MSSPs or external security providers.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Security+; ISO 27001.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor IT security activities across APAC subsidiaries and align with global policies.
  • Co-lead APAC subsidiaries to achieve Global Security KPIs.
  • Coordinate day-to-day IT security operations and incident response.
  • Conduct and coordinate security assessments, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor security maturity, controls, and improvement across regional entities.
  • Track findings, remediation plans, exceptions, and security KPIs.
  • Coordinate SIEM, vulnerability management, EDR, and other security ops with IT teams and partners.
  • Review security controls across network, endpoint, server, cloud, identity, and apps.
  • Coordinate security assessments for new technologies, systems, and vendors.
  • Work with MSSPs, security consultants, and HQ on security initiatives and incidents.
  • Support regional cybersecurity awareness, phishing simulations, and training.
  • Prepare security reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Job description

This role will primarily focus on regional security coordination, governance, risk management, compliance, and stakeholder management, while requiring a strong technical understanding of cybersecurity to effectively assess security risks, review technical controls, and coordinate with IT teams and security specialists.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor IT security activities across APAC subsidiaries and ensure alignment with global security policies and standards.

  • Prepare security reports and presentations for management and regional stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Security, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Experience coordinating security activities across multinational or APAC environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and security technologies including:
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Security Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and OWASP.
  • Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SIEM / Splunk, EDR, vulnerability management, firewalls, cloud security, and identity security.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing, application security, OWASP Top 10, and SAST.
  • Experience working with MSSPs, security consultants, or external security providers.
  • Experience in a multinational or regional APAC organization.
  • Relevant security certifications are preferred. Candidates with CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Security+, CCNP Security, ISO 27001, or equivalent certifications are encouraged to apply
