Job summary

OLIVER Agency - APAC in Jakarta seeks a Regional Financial Controller to oversee statutory compliance, audits, and risk management across APAC markets. This role reports to the CFO APAC and partners with Group Finance and Legal.

You will coordinate group and local audits, ensure accurate reporting, and drive continuous improvements in accounting standards and processes. A CA with 10+ years of experience is preferred, with strong leadership and IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Understand IFRS and regional GAAP.
• Strong fundamentals of taxation framework.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audits for Group and local entities within deadlines.
• Be the key contact with Group auditors and Group Finance on deliverables.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to complete statutory audits on time.
• Partner with Group Legal, Co-Sec and Tax for company filings and tax returns.
• Draw up reconciliations of management results to audited accounts with explanations.
• Assist with tracking and reviewing audit adjustments in monthly results.
• Review and implement compliance with new accounting standards and group policies.
• Monitor emerging technical issues affecting APAC region.

About the role

This role reporting to Chief Financial Officer - APAC will be responsible to support , monitor and ensure statutory compliances, communication of risk policies and processes across APAC markets.

What you will be doing

• Responsible for planning, executing and finalising both Group and local audits in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve accounting and taxation statutory compliances within set deadlines.
• You will be the key contact point with Group auditors and Group Finance team in meeting the audit deliverables for the Group.
• You will collaborate closely with the local finance teams ensuring the local statutory audits are completed on time basis. This may involve hands on involvement on data collection, analytical review, drawing up the audited report and finalising audited report signing.
• You will partner with the Group Legal and Co-Sec and Tax to complete required company filings and tax returns.
• Drawing up the reconciliation of the management result to audited accounts with clear explanation on reconciling transactions.
• You will assist with the tracking, reconciliation, and / or review of audit adjustments posted into the monthly reporting results.
• Review and implement in consultation with Group Finance team compliance with latest accounting standards, group policies and procedures and assisting and drawing the financial statements and developing the appropriate financial statement disclosures.
• You will monitor and interpret emerging technical issues on its implications on APAC region.
• Responsible to deploy Group’s risk management processes and procedures and continuous compliances.
• Work with Group Legal on Corporate Secretary related matters, dividend payments, leases, etc.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

• Minimum10years of relevant working experience in similar role, preferably within the advertising industry
