Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an R&D Manager – Sports Nutrition & Nutraceuticals to lead the full product development lifecycle for sports nutrition, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals and functional foods in Indonesia.

Based on-site in Tangerang, you will guide formulation, lab trials, scale-up, and commercialization, collaborating with Regulatory, QC, Production, Procurement and Marketing to deliver innovative, cost-efficient products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in R&D leadership within dietary supplements, sports nutrition, or nutraceuticals.
• Strong knowledge of product development, formulation, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R&D and product development for sports nutrition, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and functional foods.
• Translate consumer trends and market requirements into viable product concepts.
• Develop and optimize formulations across powders, capsules, tablets, stick packs, RTDs and other formats.
• Oversee lab trials to optimize taste, solubility, stability, and active ingredient performance.
• Lead development from concept through pilot-scale testing, scale-up, and commercial launch.
• Manage BSD R&D facility trials and transfer technology to manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with BPOM, Halal, GMP, HACCP, and related standards.
