Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced R&D Manager for sports nutrition and nutraceuticals. You will lead the full product development lifecycle from concept and material evaluation to formulation, trials, scale-up, and commercial launch.

The role requires hands-on formulation expertise, sensory development, and strong leadership with a commercial mindset to optimize costs and drive product success in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years R&D in dietary supplements or sports nutrition.
• Minimum 2-3 years of managerial or team leadership experience in R&D.
• Strong formulation development, lab trials, and scale-up expertise.
• Solid knowledge of BPOM, Halal, GMP, HACCP and related quality standards.
• Proven ability to drive cost optimization and commercialization strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R&D and product development for sports nutrition, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and functional foods.
• Translate trends, market opportunities, and requirements into viable product concepts.
• Develop and optimize formulations across powder blends, capsules, tablets, and RTDs.
• Oversee laboratory trials, taste masking, solubility, stability, and active ingredient integrity.
• Ensure effective tech transfer from R&D to manufacturing and commercialization.
