Job summary

Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, basic GIS knowledge, and good teamwork are essential. This role offers practical exposure to data analytics in mining, with mentorship and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Final-year student or fresh graduate in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and manage mining and exploration data.
• Prepare maps, graphs, dashboards, and slides for R&D.
• Assist desk studies and technical assessments on mining topics.
• Compile geological, exploration, mine planning, and closure data.
• Update technical reports and project documentation.
• Maintain databases and documents in the R&D division.
• Perform data cleaning and quality checks for accuracy.
• Collaborate with the team and support other admin tasks.

Job description

• Support the collection, compilation, validation, and management of technical mining and exploration data.
• Assist in preparing maps, tables, charts, dashboards, and presentation materials for R&D activities.
• Support desk study and technical assessment related to mining, exploration, resources, reserves, and IUP.
• Assist in compiling and organizing geological, exploration, mine planning, production, and mine closure data.
• Support the preparation and updating of technical reports and project documentation.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing databases and technical documents within the R&D Division.
• Perform data cleaning, data checking, and documentation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with team members and support other technical or administrative activities as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Final-year student or fresh graduate majoring in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of mining, exploration, mine planning, or mine closure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Python, data processing, or data visualization is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in data and document management.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous internship, organizational, research, or project experience related to mining, exploration, GIS, or data analytics is an advantage.
