Job summary
Baker Hughes seeks a Quality Engineer in Batam to drive product and process quality using Continual Improvement tools and Lean Sigma. You will ensure manufacturing inputs align with specifications and customer requirements, reviewing documents and liaising with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, at least four years in oil & gas manufacturing, and strong problem-solving, communication, and English skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or similar technical discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing
- Strong understanding of technical specifications and drawings
- Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Ensure inputs for manufacturing meet product and process specifications and customer requirements
- Verify that all process inputs are implemented and compliant throughout manufacturing
- Review supplier and internal/external manufacturing documents for compliance
- Collaborate with suppliers, SQE, and manufacturing to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate document review results to stakeholders and teams
- Drive quality improvement through cross-functional collaboration
- Support internal and external audits
