Job summary

Baker Hughes in Batam, Indonesia seeks a Quality Control Inspector/Operator-Expert to oversee final quality, perform dimensional, hardness, and phosphating inspections, and manage NCRs. You will verify gauges, support FAI and in-process checks, and ensure traceability in MO packaging, maintaining QMS/HSE compliance.

Diploma or technical high school with 3 years’ experience required; knowledge of drawings and measurement tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma or technical high school with 3 years' experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and use gauges for measurement.
• Conduct dimensional inspection and report verification.
• Knowledge of hardness testing, phosphate inspection, and hydro test verification.
• Maintain QC records and generate NCRs for non-conforming items.
• Familiar with QMS and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee final quality of energy products and keep inspection records up to date.
• Provide dimensional, COC, inspection reports and traceability per MO package.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection activities.
• Verify gages, tool calibration, and report validation.
• Perform dimensional, hardness, phosphating, test and assembly inspections.
• Record inspection results and raise NCRs for non-conforming items.
• Maintain inspection records per QMS requirements and participate in QSE programs.

As a Quality Contorl Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing the final quality of our innovative energy products. You will keep records up-to date and use a variety of inspection equipment to proactively test and report any defects.

• Routing Package review (Spec, Drawing, Picklist, Document Revision)
• Providing dimensional, COC, inspection report and traceability record in MO package
• Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection activities.
• Verifying gages and tool calibration, validate report from Outsource process.
• Performing inspection as per work order (Dimensional, Hardness, Phosphating, Test and Assembly)
• Recording inspection results accurately and raise a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for non-conforming items
• Maintaining inspection records complete, accurate, and retained per QMS requirements.
• Participating in Quality & HSE program and proactively involve in improving Quality/HSE Culture in Batam Site

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Diploma or technical high school with 3 years' experience.
• Have previous experience in the inspection and measurement of component parts in a similar manufacturing industry.
• Be able to read and understand technical Drawings, Familiar with tools and gauges for measurement
• Have ability to perform detailed dimensional inspection of component parts
• Be able to perform hardness testing and report verification, perform phosphate visual inspection
• Have knowledge to verify Hydro test parameter and report validation
• Be able to perform Test and Assembly inspection
• Have knowledge of Quality Management Systems and HSE awareness ..
