Job summary

Tapestry in Surabaya, Indonesia seeks a Quality Auditor to monitor finished goods and partner with service providers to resolve quality issues. You will apply rigorous QA standards to inspect products before shipment and support continuous improvement across Coach and Kate Spade New York brands.

You will report to the Director, Commercialization & Quality, lead in-line inspections, audits (FG, IQC), and train factory QC staff while driving root cause analyses and action plans with SP to ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in footwear quality management.
• University education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English; local Asian languages are essential.
• Practical and technical knowledge of the footwear industry.
• Knowledge of AQL and quality control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-line inspection and root cause analysis with SP; report to line-manager.
• Review samples, ES/CS reports and QLA; stress key points to SP.
• Review pre-production trials and hold pre-production meetings with SP.
• Approve Packing Instructions for new styles and updated PI.
• Conduct FG audits per FG audit parameters.
• Follow up on weak areas from walkthrough reports and push SP to improve.
• Conduct IQC audits of factory IQC processes.
• Train factory QC staff and certify them as production volume requires.

Report to: Director, Commercialization & Quality

Primary Purpose:

Quality Auditors monitor manufacturing processes of products, engage with Service Providers (SP) to work out Root Cause Analysis and action plan for all quality issues and provide supports to Service Providers for improving quality. Base on Tapestry's quality standard, to inspect products and make judgment on Finished Goods (FG) inspection before shipment.

• Daily perform in-line inspection for monitoring procedure of products. Work on root cause analysis and action plan with SP for all quality issues are caught on lines. In the meanwhile, report it to line-manager.
• Review samples and ES & CS reports as well as QLA to stress key points report to SP
• Review pre-production trial and hold pre-production meeting with SP.
• Approve Packing Instruction for all new styles and updated PI for flat packing.
• Conduct FG audit based on FG audit parameter
• To follow up weak area which called out in walkthrough report and push SP to improve
• Conduct IQC audit to audit factory IQC process.
• Train factory QC and certified them as needs of production volume.
• Follow up Root Cause analysis and action plan for all returned defective shoes.

The accomplished individual will possess...

• 5+ years' experience in footwear Quality Management. Preferably in luxury fashion shoes.
• University education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English as well as local Asian languages are essential.
• Practical and technical knowledge of footwear industry are essential.
