Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to coordinate and execute inspection activities across hull, structural, and outfitting works, ensuring compliance with drawings, ITPs, codes, and standards.

You will liaise with Class, Owners, third-party inspectors, and other trades, maintain inspection records, and drive non-conformity closures to support project quality and safety. Minimum 3 years' experience in shipyard or oil & gas is required; CSWIP 3.1 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Classification Society rules, applicable codes, and project standards.
• Proficient in ITP-based inspection, testing techniques, and quality requirements.
• Good English communication and report-writing skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, with strong planning and execution skills.
• CSWIP 3.1 certification or equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute QC inspection activities in accordance with project requirements.
• Liaise with Class, Owner, third-party inspectors, and other trades to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Conduct material receiving, in-process, and final inspections for hull, structural, and outfitting works.
• Verify fabrication and installation against approved drawings, specifications, ITP, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate and support Class/Owner final inspection and acceptance.
• Monitor compliance with the ITP, inspection and testing requirements, and project schedule.
• Identify non-conformities, raise Observation Reports/NCRs, and follow up corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection reports and quality records are properly completed, signed, and maintained.
• Maintain daily QC activities, inspection status, and relevant documentation.
• Ensure QC activities are performed in accordance with quality and safety requirements.
