Responsibilities

• Map farming sites using GIS ( ponds, cages, production areas).
• Collect, calculate and report GHG emissions data for sustainability reporting.
• Prepare periodic quality and sustainability reports for QMS Manager.
• Perform other duties to support the role.

The Role

As a QMS Supervisor – Farming, you will be responsible for supervising the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across our farming operations. This includes coordinating certification audits, monitoring quality compliance, managing document control, and supervising QMS staff to ensure that operational activities comply with applicable quality standards and procedures.

You will also support sustainability initiatives through farming site mapping using Geographic Information System (GIS) software and the collection, calculation, and reporting of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions data in accordance with relevant sustainability standards and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support BAP, ASC, and CBIB certification audits, including audit preparation, implementation, and follow-up.
• Monitor quality compliance across Toba grow-out sites and contract farming operations, including hatchery and grow-out activities.
• Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the document control system, including manuals, work instructions, cultivation SOPs, forms, and checklists.
• Guide, supervise, and monitor QMS staff in carrying out their daily responsibilities.
• Work closely with the QMS Manager and relevant Managers to monitor and ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements across Tilapia farming and production activities.
• Conduct and maintain mapping of farming sites, including ponds, floating cages, and production areas, using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Collect, calculate, consolidate, and report Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions data to support certification, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Prepare periodic reports on quality performance, audit results, and sustainability-related activities for submission to the QMS Manager.
• Perform other relevant duties as required to support the objectives of the role.

Requirements

Candidate MUST have:

• A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Marine Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field. A major in Fisheries and Aquatic Management would be an advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in quality management, auditing, or related fields.
• Experience in handling certification audits. Experience in GHG emissions calculation and reporting would be an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate GIS/mapping software, such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Understanding of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) concepts and reporting requirements.
• Good supervisory, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• A proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to swim and scuba dive, an interest in graphic design, and a valid driving license with good driving skills would be additional advantages.
• Preferably residing in North Sumatra, especially Serdang Bedagai, Medan, or surrounding areas.
