Job summary

JAPFA is seeking a QC leader based in Sumbawa to oversee all QC testing activities—water quality, microbiology, FHM, nauplii, algae, Artemia, and PCR testing—and to analyze production data to drive quality improvements. The role also ensures calibration, inventory, and CAPA processes, while supporting audits and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will lead the QC team, drive continuous improvement, and uphold 5S and OHS practices across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1/D4) in Fisheries, Biology, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Laboratory Operations, or Aquaculture/Hatchery Industry; prior team leadership is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis including water quality, microbiology, PCR, Fry Health Monitoring (FHM), algae culture, Artemia, shrimp fry/postlarvae quality parameters.
• Familiar with quality management and compliance systems including SOP implementation, audits, certifications, equipment calibration, CAPA, biosecurity, OHS, and 5S.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with ability to manage QC data, solve problems, evaluate quality, develop team capabilities, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Willing to be based in Sumbawa.

Job description

1. Oversee the implementation of all QC testing activities , including water quality, microbiology, Fry Health Monitoring (FHM), nauplii, algae, Artemia, polychaete, and PCR testing, ensuring compliance with established SOPs and testing schedules.

2. Analyze quality and production performance data , including shrimp postlarvae performance, while managing QC databases and utilizing analytical insights to drive continuous quality improvement.

3. Ensure effective QC operations through supervision of equipment maintenance and calibration, inventory management, customer complaint analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

4. Support quality assurance and compliance initiatives by participating in certifications, audits, inspections, and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to enhance QC analytical processes.

5. Lead and develop the QC team through coaching, performance evaluation, competency development, and by fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, 5S, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

Qualifications:

1. Mengawasi pelaksanaan dan kualitas seluruh pengujian QC meliputi kualitas air, mikrobiologi, FHM, nauplii, alga, Artemia, polychaete, PCR, serta memastikan analisis dilakukan sesuai SOP dan jadwal yang berlaku.

2. Menganalisis data dan kinerja kualitas produksi , termasuk evaluasi performa postlarva udang, pengelolaan database QC, serta penyusunan dan pemanfaatan data untuk peningkatan kualitas berkelanjutan.

3. Memastikan efektivitas operasional QC melalui pengawasan kalibrasi dan perawatan alat, pengelolaan stok, penanganan keluhan pelanggan, serta penerapan tindakan korektif dan preventif.

4. Mendukung kepatuhan dan standar mutu perusahaan dengan berpartisipasi dalam proses sertifikasi, audit, inspeksi, serta berkolaborasi dengan pihak internal dan eksternal terkait pengembangan parameter analisis QC.

5. Memimpin dan mengembangkan tim QC melalui coaching, evaluasi kinerja, peningkatan kompetensi, serta memastikan penerapan budaya kerja kolaboratif, continuous improvement, 5S, dan K3 di seluruh area kerja.

Kualifikasi

• Minimal Sarjana (S1/D4) di bidang Perikanan, Biologi, Kedokteran Hewan;

• Memiliki pengalaman minimal 3-5 tahun di bidang Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Laboratorium, atau Industri Akuakultur/Hatchery Udang, dengan pengalaman memimpin tim menjadi nilai tambah;

• Menguasai pengujian dan analisis laboratorium , termasuk kualitas air, mikrobiologi, PCR, Fry Health Monitoring (FHM), kultur alga, Artemia, serta parameter kualitas benur/postlarva udang;

• Memahami sistem manajemen mutu dan kepatuhan , seperti SOP, audit, sertifikasi, kalibrasi alat, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), biosecurity, serta penerapan K3 dan 5S.

• Memiliki kemampuan analitis dan kepemimpinan yang baik , mampu mengelola data QC, menyelesaikan masalah, melakukan evaluasi kualitas, membimbing tim, serta berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan internal maupun eksternal;
