Job summary

Pensieve is looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer in Indonesia to ensure the quality and reliability of their products. The ideal candidate will design and execute test cases, identify bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key responsibilities include performing various types of manual testing, documenting findings, and working closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams. An understanding of tools like Jira and a background in manual testing for web/mobile applications are essential.

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities

Design, create, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements

Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT support)

Identify, document, and track bugs using tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)

Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to clarify requirements

Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases

Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before release

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Ensure product quality meets defined acceptance criteria

Requirements

Experience in manual testing for web/mobile applications

Able to write clear, structured test cases & test plans

Strong understanding of:

Functional & regression testing

Bug life cycle

Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman (basic API testing)

Able to work independently and prioritize tasks

Experience in startup or fast-paced environment would be a plus point
