Job summary

Annexion Partners is partnering with a leading data center developer to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for its growing portfolio in Indonesia. You will own mechanical delivery from design through construction and handover, working with engineering teams, consultants, contractors and vendors.

This role is ideal for PMs in data centers, with strong HVAC and mission-critical experience, and a track record of coordinating complex multi-discipline projects in fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in mechanical project management, construction or engineering delivery.
  • Exposure to data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling and related mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and vendors.
  • Understanding construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Ability to manage projects in fast-paced, technical environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical delivery from design through construction and handover.
  • Oversee HVAC, chilled water, cooling and building services.
  • Review designs, specs, drawings, and submissions.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, GC/MEP contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor schedules, progress, quality, and milestones.
  • Identify risks and resolve site coordination issues.
  • Manage contractor and vendor performance.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure design intent.
  • Support testing and commissioning for handover.
  • Provide regular project updates and technical reporting.

Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading data center developer and operator to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for its growing portfolio in Indonesia.

This is an opportunity to join the developer side and take ownership of the mechanical delivery of mission-critical data center projects, working closely with internal engineering teams, consultants, contractors and vendors from design through construction, commissioning and handover.

This would be particularly relevant for Mechanical Project Managers looking to move into or continue growing on the data center developer side, with exposure to complex, mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical delivery of data center projects from design through construction and handover.
  • Oversee critical mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, cooling and associated building services.
  • Review mechanical designs, specifications, drawings and technical submissions.
  • Coordinate closely with design consultants, general contractors, MEP contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project schedules, construction progress, quality and mechanical milestones.
  • Identify technical and project risks and drive timely resolution of site and coordination issues.
  • Manage contractor and vendor performance throughout project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure mechanical works are delivered in accordance with design intent and project requirements.
  • Support testing & commissioning activities and ensure systems are ready for operational handover.
  • Provide regular project updates and technical reporting to key stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong experience in mechanical project management, construction or engineering delivery.
  • Proven exposure to data centers or other mission-critical facilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, chilled water and associated mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and specialist vendors.
  • Strong understanding of construction, testing & commissioning and project handover.
  • Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
