About the Job:
Artelia is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager (PM) to lead the successful delivery of a confidential Data Center Construction Project in Indonesia.
This position plays a critical role in managing project execution from inception to completion, ensuring delivery in accordance with project objectives, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of coordination between the Client, Design Consultants, Contractors, and Project Stakeholders, driving collaboration and ensuring effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, extensive construction project management experience, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships within a fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out of the project.
- Ensure project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and performance targets are achieved.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain project governance processes and reporting structures.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the project team.
Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Serve as the primary interface between the Client, Consultants, Contractors, and Project Stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues and concerns.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong working relationships.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Escalate critical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
Project Planning & Controls
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators.
- Review project reports and provide management with accurate project status updates.
- Ensure proper risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Oversee change management processes and evaluate schedule and cost impacts.
- Support project forecasting and resource planning activities.
Construction Management & Site Oversight
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Coordinate site inspections and support issue resolution during project execution.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Support contract administration and commercial management activities.
- Review variations, claims, and contractor submissions.
- Monitor project expenditures and budget performance.
- Assist in managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
Quality, Testing & Handover
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are effectively implemented.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Monitor project close-out requirements and documentation.
- Ensure successful transition of completed facilities to the Client.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Track project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Share lessons learned and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of best practices in project management and project delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role managing large-scale construction projects.
- Proven experience in Data Center greenfield project:
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, project controls, contract administration, and construction management.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting processes.
- Experience working within Engineering Consultancy, PMC, EPC, or Construction environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects in fast‑paced and dynamic environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
