About the Role:
Artelia Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team supporting the construction of a large-scale EV manufacturing facility in Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and applicable regulations.
This role requires close coordination with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams within a fast-paced industrial construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and monitor electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Supervise electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved designs, project standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, design consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and engineering challenges.
- Monitor project progress and support timely execution of electrical works in accordance with project schedules.
- Conduct inspections, site walk-downs, and quality checks on electrical systems and installations.
- Review method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international engineering standards.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover activities for electrical systems.
- Identify project risks and provide practical engineering solutions to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation for management and clients.
- Support interdisciplinary coordination involving mechanical, civil, architectural, process, and utilities systems.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the project site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, battery plant, or large-scale construction projects.
- Experience working in a PMC, EPC, contractor, or consultancy environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and emergency power systems.
- Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable Indonesian regulations.
- Experience in testing and commissioning activities is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a multidiscipline project environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in EV battery plants, automotive manufacturing facilities, giga factories, or high-tech industrial projects.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating construction activities on-site.
- Professional Engineer certification or relevant professional memberships are a plus.
