Weir Properties in Jakarta, Indonesia seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead mining projects with a hybrid work arrangement and travel as needed. You will plan schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver safe, on‑time results.

You bring a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in mining, and strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in engineering and construction projects.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the mining industry, focusing on material handling and fixed plant systems.
• Strong project management skills including scheduling, cost control, estimating, and resource allocation.
• Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Develop and oversee project budgets aligned with schedule milestones and scope commitments.
• Serve as the central communication point between project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assemble and lead project teams, set deadlines, and motivate members to achieve project objectives.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery.
• Apply technical knowledge in material handling and fixed plant equipment to meet project requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Create and manage detailed project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met. You will rationalize defects and risks that may arise, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Budget & Cost Management: Develop and oversee project budgets aligned with schedule milestones and scope commitments. Track cost variations and implement controls to maintain financial discipline.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central communication point between project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage expectations, provide regular project updates, and address concerns promptly.
• Leadership & Team Coordination: Assemble and lead project teams, assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and motivate members to achieve project objectives. Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and service teams.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
• Technical Oversight: Apply technical knowledge in material handling and fixed plant equipment, including rubber lining projects, to ensure project requirements are met with technical credibility.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to subcontractors, vendors, and key customer sites within Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia, to conduct inspections and progress reviews.

What You’ll Bring

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in engineering and construction projects.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the mining industry, focusing on material handling and fixed plant systems (conveyor systems, rubber works, crushers, screens).
• Strong project management skills including scheduling, cost control, estimating, and resource allocation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia for effective stakeholder engagement.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience managing aftermarket and rubber lining projects.
• Familiarity with technical drawings and engineering coordination.
• Proven ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Previous exposure to customer-facing roles and managing key account relationships.
