Job summary

Mentor IMC Group in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a Project Manager for a permanent role to lead an EPC construction program. You will be the primary liaison between Contractor and Client and oversee the project team during execution.

Requires 10+ years in construction PM, strong MEP delivery experience, excellent communication and cost control capabilities, and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality procedures. Role concentrates on safety, schedule adherence, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven experience as Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor.
• Strong experience in delivering multi-discipline projects including MEP trades from tender design to handover.
• Data Center experience preferred, but luxury hotel/building or complex industrial projects could also be a good fit.
• Proven capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Maintain quality control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact between Contractor and Client for all project matters and manages all activities of the project team during the execution of the project.
• Contract management and administration.
• Design management: communicate with the engineering team to ensure the timely release of design deliverables (shop drawings and method statements).
• Financial management: manage the budget and perform periodic cost to termination reforecast.
• Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout project execution.
• Monitor procurement process of sub-contractors and work packages to ensure that deliveries will meet the construction completion schedule.
• Delivery management: develop milestone schedules which will be the basis of the subcontractors’ construction schedules including realistic activity sequences and duration, prioritization of critical activities efficient allocation of labor, and availability of materials and equipment.
• Regular monitoring of the schedule as construction progresses; Identify potential variances between scheduled and probable completion dates and ensure that efficient action will be done to meet scheduled targets.
• Subcontracts’ administration: reviewing claims and variations in collaboration with legal department.
• Keep all stakeholders aware of the project progress.
• Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.
• Maintain quality control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001.
• Responsible for driving excellence in HSE matters. Experienced in risk assessment and safety audit, with strong sense of safety awareness, understanding, and experience of M&E construction processes.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of proven experience as Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor


• Strong experience in delivering multi-discipline projects including a significant portion of MEP trades from tender design stage, execution, testing & commissioning until final handover to client


• Previous Data Center experience preferred but someone who has delivered luxury hotel/building or complex industrial projects could also be a good fit


• Proven capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines


• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
