Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Project Technical Lead Engineer to drive the technical execution of Automation and Communication projects from initiation to close-out. You will translate customer requirements into cost-effective technical solutions and oversee testing, installation, commissioning, and documentation.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills, with hands-on project coordination across engineering teams and sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in electrical, automation, communication, power systems or a related field.
• Typically 10–15+ years of relevant project engineering experience, preferably in power, automation, communication or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project execution, customer requirements, engineering coordination, testing support and site support.
• Ability to review technical documents, ask the right questions, coordinate with stakeholders and drive actions to closure.
• Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Good working knowledge of common office and collaboration tools.

The Opportunity

You’ll be leading the technical engineering execution of Automation and Communication projects, acting as the Project Technical Lead Engineer for assigned projects. Translating customer requirements and contract specifications into a clear, cost-effective Hitachi Energy technical solution concept; planning and coordinating engineering tasks; review detailed engineering deliverables; support testing, FAT, installation, commissioning, SAT, as-built documentation and project close-out feedback. Ensuring that technical quality, safety, customer acceptance, cost, schedule, risk and contractual technical requirements are managed throughout the full project lifecycle.
