PetroSea is seeking a Project Engineer in Papua Barat to prepare and assist in the Project Execution Plan, review progress, and ensure contract documentation aligns with company standards. The role requires coordinating with international subcontractors and managing costs to meet project objectives.

You will analyze anomalies, monitor budgeting, and contribute to SHE commitments while supporting multi-cultural teams to deliver on schedule.

Qualifications

• Min. 1 year experience as Project Engineer.
• Experience in mineral sector projects with multinational subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of engineering, procurement and construction management principles.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering and design processes with construction methods.
• Ability to multitask across project engineering, scheduling and budgeting.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate subordinates.
• Fluent in English is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Identify and analyze anomalies, variances or non-compliances in actual operating costs and propose corrective actions.
• Provide recommendations on operating cost reports based on budget/forecast vs actuals.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast to support objectives within the allocated budget.
• Implement and maintain budgeting and costing processes to achieve department objectives and targets.
• Maintain and implement SHE programs and SHE Management System to meet ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP requirements.

Prepare and assist in preparation and implementation Project Execution Plan, from identifying project plans and proposals to review & analyze project progress; ensuring all documentations and specifications, both internal and external, are conforming to company’s standard and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Identify and analyse anomalies, variances or non-compliances in the actual operating costs (i.e., materials, plant, labour, sub-contractors, etc.) and take the necessary corrective actions or inform management of proposed action to ensure compliance as soon as they become known. Anomalies, variances, or non-compliances in the actual operating costs are identified and analysed.

Provide recommendations on operating cost reports based on comparative analysis of budget/forecast to actuals (i.e., unit costs, capital cost, overhead costs, etc.) and provide recommendations to ensure the project objectives are achieved. Recommendations are provided.

Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast to support the achievement of the operation and objectives within the allocated budget. Financial performance is well managed and within the allocated budget.

Implement and maintain budgeting and costing processes and procedures to achieve department objectives and targets. Budgeting is well implemented and maintained.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Engineering.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

• Min. 1 year experiences as Project Engineer.
• Proven track record of performing a Project Engineers role in projects in the Mineral sector that also encompasses a multi-cultural workforce with the use of International Subcontractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction management principles and practices. Must possess an in depth knowledge of the Engineering and Design process as well as extensive experience in construction methods.
• Requires multitasking capabilities (project engineering, scheduling, budgeting, etc.)
• Willing to work extended hours to meet with Project deadlines.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates.
• Fluent in English, bothspoken and written is an advantage
