Job summary

PT Weichai Indonesia Utama is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation of diesel generator sets for data center projects in Indonesia.

You will ensure compliance with technical specs, schedules, and safety, coordinate with clients and internal teams, review drawings, supervise electrical and mechanical works, and oversee testing and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in genset, power generation, or data center projects.
• Good understanding of diesel generators, electrical systems, power distribution, and mechanical installation.
• Familiarity with data center power infrastructure, including UPS, ATS, switchgear, and generator synchronization, is an advantage.
• Experience in project coordination, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation of diesel generator sets (gensets) for data center projects.
• Ensure all project activities are carried out according to technical specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and other project-related documentation.
• Supervise genset installation, electrical and mechanical works, cabling, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including load bank testing, synchronization, load sharing, ATS/AMF, and integrated system testing.
• Prepare regular project progress reports and ensure proper project documentation and handover.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, data center requirements, and HSE regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution and commissioning.
