Job summary

PT Weichai Indonesia Utama is seeking a hands-on Testing & Commissioning Engineer to plan and lead genset and power system commissioning for data-center projects on site in Indonesia. You will prepare checklists, procedures, schedules, and ensure readiness.

The role requires 2–3 years in testing and commissioning, strong electrical knowledge, ability to read single-line diagrams, and proficiency in English for technical communication. On-site work, travel, and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years in Testing & Commissioning, preferably gensets or data centers.
• Hands-on testing and commissioning experience.
• Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Willing to work on-site, travel, and extended hours.
• Good English for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare commissioning activities, including checklists, test procedures, schedules, and site readiness.
• Perform and supervise genset testing, commissioning, synchronization, load sharing, ATS/AMF, and load bank testing.
• Support data center power commissioning, including FAT, SAT, FPT, IST, and failure scenario testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate daily commissioning activities with project, construction, QA/QC, HSE, vendors, and clients.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and handover documentation.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
