Job summary

Johnson Controls Indonesia is seeking a Project Engineer, HVAC, to lead project planning, cost control and on-site execution for critical HVAC facilities. You will supervise engineers, technicians and subcontractors, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and compliance with project specs.

The role requires 2–5 years in HVAC systems or data center projects, a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, strong English, and proficiency with Excel, Word and MS Project; willingness to travel across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• 2–5 years of relevant HVAC experience, CPOS or Building Management.
• Experience handling Data Center or Chiller Plant projects.
• Strong team player with proficiency in English.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and MS Project.
• Willing to travel around Indonesia and work odd hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan project work schedule and cost control in coordination with the supervisor.
• Supervise Assistant Project Engineer/Technician and subcontractors at site.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project materials.
• Monitor progress and ensure installations meet specifications.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants to expedite installation.
• Handover project to the service team after completion.
• Perform regular quality audits of suppliers and subcontractors.

What you will do:

• As a Project Engineer, HVAC, you will be responsible for Project planning, cost control and execution.
• Supervision of Assistant Project Engineer and/or Technician as assigned, and supervision of sub-contractors’ work at site.
• Other special works as assigned by supervisor from time to time.
• Assume responsibility for the successful completion of the projects and meet customers satisfaction.

How you will do:

• Plan work schedule for the project under responsibility, in coordination with supervisor.
• Coordinate and monitor work progress with customer and relevant parties for information to expedite installation.
• Supervision of sub-contractors’ work at site.
• Schedule purchase and deliveries of all materials for the project in a timely manner.
• Check and ensure all installations conform to project specifications.
• Update projects progress regularly to his supervisor.
• Assign task to, and supervise Assistant Project Engineer, Technician, if any.
• System applications, drafting, data base generation and commissioning.
• Identify and secure variation order.
• Cost control.
• Monitor and ensure delivery of financial commitment as per project handover.
• Ensure that all work completed are filed and invoiced.
• Follow-up on payment from customers and verify payment to our suppliers.
• Train customer and provide first year maintenance warranty schedule visit.
• Hand over project to customer and later to service team.
• Perform regular quality audit for all the suppliers and sub-contractors.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s Degree from reputable university, majoring in Electrical, Mechanical (Specializing in HVAC, Static/Rotating Equipment, Piping).
• Having 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC cooling system, CPOS or Building Management.
• Must have experience handling Data Center or Chiller Plant Projects.
• Team player is essential.
• English proficiencies (reading, writing, conversation) are essential.
• Excel, Word, and Project are essential.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Willing to travel around Indonesia.
• Require interaction with clients, consultants and sub-contractors, etc.
• Need to work odd hours as and when required, whenever the work need to be done on time.
