Job summary

PT Vale Indonesia Tbk seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering planning, design, and technical support during construction projects. You will ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery while meeting budget expectations, collaborating with procurement and field teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years of related experience, with exposure to large-scale mining or infrastructure initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and execute engineering planning, design, and technical support activities within the construction phase project to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and quality-assured delivery of engineering works, and meet project schedule and cost.
• Develop and implement the Engineering Plan, including design criteria and technical standards, in alignment with overall project objectives to ensure all engineering activities support timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams by providing technical input, clarifications, and documentation support to facilitate accurate purchasing and efficient construction execution.
• Evaluate and recommend consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers based on technical competence, compliance, and value to ensure reliable and high-quality partnerships for project execution.
• Develop project management plan based on engineering design to ensure the availability of project calculation of schedule and cost.
• Review, validate, and approve engineering contractor invoices and change orders to ensure accuracy of billing and alignment with the project budget.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues by collaborating with relevant stakeholders and reporting progress to the Project Manager to avoid delays and keep the project on track in terms of schedule and quality.

Job description

To contribute through knowledge and expertise of engineering discipline from project feasibility study phase to commissioning phase, with good quality of deliverables, meets enterprise standards, and comply to National & International codes. Co-working with consultant or other technology provider, review their report, engineering design, calculation or other deliverables document, give them feedback that represent Company's requirement and interest. Able to do technical assistant and problem solving during construction phase.

PTVI operates under a Contract of Work, which was amended with a Special Mining Business Permit (IUPK) on May 13, 2024. The contract is valid until December 28, 2035, and the concession covers an area of 118,017 hectares covering South Sulawesi (70,566 hectares), Central Sulawesi (22,699 hectares) and Southeast Sulawesi (24,752 hectares).

The Company mines laterite nickel ore and processes it into the final product of nickel in matte.

The Company also continues its plan to developing integrated mining practices through the Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) in Morowali, Central Sulawesi and in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.
