Job summary

JAPFA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for the In-Line 4 processing unit to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment ensuring safe and continuous output.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, document activities, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize workflows while upholding health, safety, and food safety standards. Willingness to work shifts and read manuals will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an industrial production or maintenance role, preferably within a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Adherence to safety protocols and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and minor adjustments to optimize equipment performance and extend lifespan.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, performing immediate corrective actions or escalating complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors.
• Conduct quality checks on products during the production process, ensuring adherence to specifications and reporting any deviations.
• Record production data, maintenance activities, and equipment status accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment or processes.
