Job summary

JAPFA is seeking a Maintenance Utility Operator-1 to operate and monitor utility systems ensuring smooth plant operations. You will perform basic maintenance, record data, and support senior technicians while following safety and environmental standards.

Qualification requires 1–2 years of utility equipment experience, basic boiler/air/water treatment knowledge, and the ability to work in shifts and physically handle the role.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience operating and maintaining utility equipment.
• Basic understanding of boiler operation, air compression and water treatment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong observation and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and varied environments.
• Willing to work in shifts, weekends/holidays as required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility equipment such as boilers, air compressors, water treatment, and generators.
• Conduct regular inspections and report abnormalities or malfunctions.
• Perform basic maintenance like cleaning, lubrication, filter changes, and minor adjustments.
• Record readings and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist senior technicians in troubleshooting more complex issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations, policies and environmental standards.
• Keep the work area clean and organized within the utility plant.
• Report safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Participate in training to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
