Job summary

PT TDK Electronics INDONESIA seeks a Production Engineering Assistant Manager to oversee new product introduction, machine qualification, capacity planning, and mass production readiness. You will lead a team of engineers, manage cross-functional projects, and drive process improvements on the Sensor systems line in Batam.

The role requires >12 years in electronics manufacturing, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• >12 years of experience in an electronic component manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with automotive quality standards.
• Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong project planning and execution skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee New Product Introduction: assess, qualify, and release new products and plan timelines and budgets.
• Identify and acquire manufacturing equipment; qualify and release new machines; plan capacity and layouts.
• Lead product/process engineering teams; implement process improvements and analyze data.
• Manage the transition from qualification to mass production; drive cost, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Plan manpower: recruit, train, and qualify production staff; ensure safety compliance.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices and lead safety audits and trainings.
• Drive audit readiness and continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma; lead root cause analyses.
• Evaluate and implement automation solutions with cross-functional teams.
