Job summary

Our client in Bogor, Indonesia seeks an innovative Product Development Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering to lead the full product lifecycle—from ideation and concept development through testing, validation, and manufacturing support.

You will work closely with R&D, design, and quality assurance teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and marketability of new consumer mechanical products, with a strong emphasis on practical manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop new mechanical components and systems for consumer products.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with industrial designers to ensure aesthetic and ergonomic requirements are met.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports for new product introductions.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical support throughout the product development process and troubleshoot field issues.
