Product Designer (Bags) responsible for designing bag products from concept through to production. The role involves researching fashion trends, materials, and consumer behaviour, then translating insights into detailed product designs and technical specifications for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

Conduct regular research on fashion trends, design, materials, technology, and consumer behaviour

Create moodboards, design concepts, and initial sketches for each collection

Develop rough sketches into 2D/3D digital designs with detailed specifications (tech pack)

Determine specifications for supporting materials including primary material (fabric, leather, synthetics), lining, accessories (zipper, buckle, webbing), and colour (Pantone)

Conduct revisions, test function (ergonomics, material durability), and adjust patterns on samples before mass production

About you

Minimum D3/S1 education in Product Design, Textile Design, Fashion, or related field

1-3 years experience as a Product Designer in bag/garment manufacturing

Proficiency in design graphics software (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw)

Ability to create detailed Tech Packs (cutting sizes, patterns, accessories, and sewing instructions)

Good understanding of bag material structure (Canvas, nylon, polyester, leather, webbing, etc.) and supporting components

Sharp fashion trend awareness

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good collaboration abilities
