About the role

We are seeking a talented Product Designer to join our creative team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing PHYSICAL products that balance aesthetic appeal with practical functionality. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, manufacturers, and stakeholders to bring innovative product concepts from initial ideation through to market launch. This position is integral to our product development strategy and offers the opportunity to shape the future direction of our product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and develop innovative product designs that meet user needs and application objectives
• Create detailed design specifications, including sketches, wireframes, 2D drawings and 3D digital models using industry-standard design software
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective for production
• Develop and present design prototypes and concepts to stakeholders and clients for feedback and approval
• Conduct design testing and iterate on concepts based on user feedback and performance data
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and design standards
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor products and emerging technologies in industrial design
• Support the product development lifecycle from concept through to launch and post-launch evaluation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering or a related design discipline
• Proven experience (5+ years) in product design or industrial design within a manufacturing or product development environment
• Proficiency in design software such as CAD tools
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of completed product design projects from concept to commercialisation
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties and production constraints
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance form and function
• Experience in user research methodologies and user-centered design principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality design outputs
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and eco-conscious design practices is highly valued
