Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Product Design Development Engineer role based in Malang. The role is responsible for designing and developing hotel-related products, fixtures, and equipment that meet functional, aesthetic, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include generating design concepts, producing detailed drawings using CAD software, and collaborating with operations, procurement, and maintenance teams to refine product specifications. The engineer will conduct technical evaluations, support prototyping and testing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in line with brand standards and sustainability goals. The role also involves documentation of design changes, coordination with external suppliers, and ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and hospitality regulations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Product Design and Product Development, with the ability to translate operational needs into practical and appealing solutions.
• Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R&D) capabilities, including concept validation, prototyping support, and performance analysis.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modeling, technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including materials selection, manufacturing processes, and basic structural analysis.
• Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
