Job summary

The Weir Group in Jakarta invites a Procurement Specialist in a hybrid arrangement. You will manage day-to-day sourcing requests, issue RFQs for direct materials, and support immediate business needs.

You will develop category strategies, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor performance. Collaboration with project teams and R&D drives supplier readiness for new products while maintaining safety and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on procurement experience, particularly in direct-material sourcing and RFQ management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and SAP system proficiency.
• Able to work independently in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Tactical Sourcing: manage day-to-day sourcing requests, RFQs, and immediate business needs for direct materials.
• Strategic Sourcing & Category Execution: develop and execute category strategies with supplier evaluations and sourcing plans.
• Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimisation: conduct supplier negotiations and cost analyses to deliver savings.
• Contract Administration & Governance: support contract lifecycle management and governance compliance.
• Supplier Management & Performance: qualification, onboarding and performance monitoring of suppliers.
• Market Intelligence & Risk Management: monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement: build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve procurement efficiency.
• Project & New Product Development Support: collaborate with project teams and R&D for sourcing activities and supplier readiness for new products.
