Job summary

PT Hasuda Graha is seeking a private Mandarin tutor to conduct in-person sessions at the family home for an 8-year-old child with developmental needs. You will design personalized learning approaches and support literacy in Mandarin, using multisensory methods to teach characters, Pinyin, and basic Hanzi.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-person private Mandarin tutoring sessions at the family home
• Design and implement personalized learning plans tailored to the child's pace, abilities, and individual needs
• Use multisensory approaches (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) to teach Mandarin characters (Pinyin and basic Hanzi), phonics, syllables, and simple sentence comprehension
• Build the child's confidence to keep them motivated and learning comfortably without pressure
• Monitor and evaluate the child's learning progress regularly
• Coordinate actively with parents and provide regular progress reports

About you

• Minimum final-year undergraduate or bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Literature/Mandarin Language Education, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching or supporting children (preferably with experience teaching basic Mandarin literacy)
• Patient with high empathy and nurturing approach when supporting children requiring personalized guidance
• Strong communication skills to provide regular progress reports to parents
