Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers in Jakarta seeks a Principle Specialist Network Design to support end-to-end network design for JAPAC & INDIA, in line with GRD and OPR standards. You will coordinate with Product, Operations, Design & Construction, sales, client fit-out and consultants to harmonize infrastructure documents and optimize costs.

Strong experience in passive network infrastructure, familiarity with Visio/AutoCAD/CRM, and proficiency in Japanese and English are valued to drive site projects

Qualifications

• Completed technical studies or training as IT specialist in Layer 1 passive network connectivity and systems integration.
• Minimum of 6 years of management and hands-on experience in data center or telecom passive infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Accountability to Sr Manager of GDC Networks Design for JAPAC & INDIA projects aligned with GRD, OPR and design standards.
• Undertake network due diligence for new GDC sites, defining providers and budget.
• Oversee provisioning of telecommunications services for JAPAC & INDIA site services, modifications and upgrades.
• Ensure builds meet product, IT, client and regulatory requirements across JAPAC & INDIA.
• Develop and refine documentation, policies, procedures, and methodologies to align with service ownership blueprint.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across GDC to evolve site infrastructure, reducing cost and lead times while improving client service.
• Define specifications for products and services for structured cabling, IT rooms, CAR, MUA, POE, MMR, duct and tray.
• Use Visio, Bluebeam, or BIM360 to produce infrastructure design and build plans.
• Identify, harmonize and centralize as-built documentation with the wider GDC team.
• Plan, organize, supervise, and manage IT infrastructure projects in JAPAC & INDIA.

Job description

Reporting to Snr Manager of GDC Network Design, the Principle Specialist Network Design will be responsible for supporting centralized, harmonization, end-to-end service ownership and management of Network connectivity and Design for GDC with a particular focus on JAPAC & India regions in-line with OPR & GRD, overseeing the preparation of basic communications infrastructure architectural documents pertaining to our GDC new construction projects.

This effort entails coordination between Product, Operations, NTT Design and Construction Managers, sales and commercial, client fit-out and external consultants to leverage subject matter Expertise across all GDC INDIA & JAPAC regions, ensuring that local, regional, and global codes and standards are applied to designs and design specifications, minimising lead-time, costs and ensuring high levels of client experience.
